Legendary ska band The Toasters will play the Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge tonight. They play in support of Five Iron Frenzy with Survay Says! opening the night. To the best of our knowledge they’ve not played the Boston area since May 2014 when they opened for Big D and the Kids Table at Paradise. That was a great show and The Toasters played a great set. Here’s a clip of them performing fan favorite “Don’t Let the Bastards Grind You Down” last time they were in town.
Survay Says! reminds me a lot of We Are The Union and Less Than Jake. Watch their music video for “I Aim To Misbehave” off their 2014 record “Observations Of The Human Condition.” That album is available on Bandcamp.
Five Iron Frenzy closes out the night. The Denver ska/punk band reunited in 2011 after an 8 year hiatus and released their 6th studio album “Engine of A Million Plots” in November 2013. Here is the video for “Into Your Veins” from that album.
This show is tonight, November 21, 2015. Doors are at 7pm and this show is 18+. Tickets are $25 at the door.
