Don’t count Bim Skala Bim out of the ska game! The band posted a new song this month and teased that they were working on a new album. “Go Back” is a high energy uptempo stepper with a distinctive Vinnie Nobile trombone solo. This song would fit just fine on any previous Bim album. Their last release was 2013’s “Chet’s Last Call.” With a summer tour and a homecoming show at the Middle East, it made sense to offer something new to their fans. I’ve been bouncing in my chair to the tune and anticipate most Bim fans will dig this one.
Tomorrow, July 24, 2015, the band returns to the Middle East in cambridge with support from Pajama Slave Dancers, Brunt of It, Zeme Libre (Featuring members of Bim Skala Bim, and The Porter Squares. Tickets are available via Ticketweb and are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. The show is 18+, and you check out the Facebook event page for more info.
