This year marks the 12th edition of the Jamaica Plain Music Festival, an annual showcase of bands with deep connections to one of our favorite Boston neighborhoods.
This year’s line up is of particular interest because three of our favorite local ska bands** are on the bill! Here they are along with their set times.
12:20 pm – 12:40 pm The New Limits
2:00 pm – 2:20 pm The Attractors
3:00 pm – 3:20 pm Brunt of It
And special shout out to the not-ska-but-totally-awesome Everfiner performing 2:40-3:00. We have it on good authority that some of our favorite local ska musicians will be joining them for this sit.
There are also so many other great acts. This is a great opportunity to discover your new favorite local artist.
The event is all ages, free—thanks to a slew of generous local sponsors— and runs from 12 pm to 7 pm on Saturday September 7, complete with food trucks and portable bathrooms. This event is rain or shine.
JP Music Festival takes places at Pinebank Field at Jamaica Pond. Take the Orange Line to Stony Brook, the 39 Bus, or the 41 Bus, or bike. We do not advise driving.
