In the past few days, The A.V. Club has revealed that they are sponsoring folk-punk band Andrew Jackson Jihad’s upcoming spring tour early next year. Supporting them on this two month tour are what-should-be-obvious-at-this-point Jeff Rosenstock, The Smith Street Band (who’s latest album was recorded by Rosenstock), and Brooklyn’s pop-punks Chumped. The tour is to promote AJJ’s pretty solid 2014 album Christmas Island, which you can hear in full via Side One Dummy’s Youtube channel. What’s more is that The A.V. Club will be premiering new material and videos from the bands on the tour, which could very easily mean first looks at Jeff’s second solo album, which should be released during or around the time this tour will be underway. Additionally, the site will be hosting contests over the next few months to win copies of the tour’s band’s latest albums.
The tour stops in Boston on March 21st at The Royale, and tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, 12/12 (prepare yourself for an update featuring a link!).
UPDATE 12/12: Tickets can be purchased via Bowery Boston.
