Billerica, MA ska-punks Threat Level Burgundy have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the recording and release of their second full-length album. Describing the album, the band promises the new material will have a heavier sound but still sound familiar to the blend of punk, ska and hardcore we are used to. Once completed, this will be the band’s first release since 2013’s …And Then Things Got Weird. If you recall, last year saw TLB revealing what was presumed to be the tracklist of a new album, which seems to have been cut down from 14 to 10 songs since then. Between that and a more recent Facebook post letting fans contribute lyrics to Threat Level Burgundy songs, it is clear that the band has already put a lot of time and energy into this project. With a final goal of $1000, contributions to the campaign include rewards ranging from a thank you in the album’s liner notes to the band writing and recording a song about you.
