Earlier this week, ska/punk favorites Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake announced that they will kick off 2015 with a co-headlining tour stretching across the U.S.. Supporting these dates will be Arizona punk band Authority Zero. The tour stops in Boston on Thursday, January 29 at the House of Blues. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 7 at 10am and will run you $28. Both LTJ and RBF are providing VIP packages that include early entry, a meet and greet, a photo with the band, and other swag for $50. Grab the Less Than Jake package here and Reel Big Fish package here.
Reel Big Fish last released “Candy Coated Fury” in 2012 and is currently working on a holiday album. According to New Noise Magazine, this album will be a digital only EP release containing both holiday classics and originals. Listen to a clip from the studio on Facebook and let us know in the comments if you can identify the song. The band has not yet announced a release date for this EP. The only holiday track they’ve previously released that I’m aware of is their “Mele Kalikimaka” Christmas medley that was included on the Viva La Internet CD.
Less Than Jake last released their full-length “See the Light” in November 2013 and recently celebrated their third annual Wake and Bake weekend in their hometown of Gainesville, Florida. Authority Zero, who will be joining for all dates of this co-headlining tour, released “The Tipping Point” last year.
