We’re proud to introduce you to a new Boston-based punk, ska, and folk band called Meracula. For those of you who haven’t quite gotten over FORT! The Band’s farewell, rest assured that singer/guitarist Andrew Lowrey picks up with Meracula right where he left off with FORT!. (You might also recognize Andrew as the founder of SHOP Productions). Meracula debuted at the Lilypad in Cambridge on December 21st, sharing the bill with The New Limits, A Guy Named Guy, and Llama Tsunami. Hosted by SHOP Productions, the show very much had that intimate (read: smelly) basement show feel. According to their Facebook page, they “play songs about getting older, being confused, keeping friends, losing friends, drinking in basements, and trying to figure out life!” If you’re a fan of Bomb The Music Industry (RIP), then you’ll enjoy Meracula.

In case you missed that show, you can see them New Year’s Eve at SHOP II or January 19 at The Middle East Upstairs.
