Not too long ago we announced that Reel Big Fish was finally (what, you weren’t waiting anxiously?) making a holiday record. To further whet our spitvalves (see what I did there?), they’ve offered up a couple of YouTube teaser clips to get us excited.
In the meantime, we’ve also learned that this release will be digital only, available on Amazon and iTunes on Rock Ridge Music. You can pre-order it now for $4.99 at both stores. We think we’ll see it other stores or on streaming services such as Spotify. I’m thinking maybe the good folks at Asbestos Records might be willing to help out with the CD or 7-inch that die-hard fans like myself would love to see.

Because the album is now available for pre-order, we finally get a track listing, which includes 3 originals and 3 covers, including “Lickle Drummond Boy,” a title as pun-y and as grown-worthy as the record’s title, “Happy Skalidays.” So it goes.
1. Skank For Christmas
2. Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer
3. Lickle Drummond Bwoy
4. Whatever U Celebrate
5. Carol Of The Beers
6. Auld Lang Syne
UPDATE 12/10/14 10:15 PM: RBF has posted two more trailers that I’ve added to the playlist above. The 4th is what is likely “Lickle Drummond Bwoy,” a traditional ska take on Little Drummer Boy. I’m diggin’ it.
“Happy Skalidays” will be available online only at December 15th, just in time for the Holidays. You can catch them live in Boston with Less Than Jake and Authority Zero at the House of Blues on January 29th. It’s safe to say you’ll be sick of Christmas tunes by then.
