Lowell’s Lost Safe and Deposit Company, known informally as The Safe, has introduced a new monthly covers night, where the night’s roster will each take turns playing the songs of one influential band throughout the entire show. The first installment of this series will be taking place this Thursday, December 18th, where bands will be covering punk-with-notable-ska/reggae-influences legends The Clash. Headlining the show will be Lenny Lashley (of Darkbuster and currently in The Street Dogs), who is no stranger to the venue. Supporting Lenny will be Kevin Stevenson of Lowell’s own The Shods, punk/power-pop band Casanovas In Heat, and actual Clash cover band Charlie Don’t Surf. The event is 21+ and starts at 9pm with a $5 cover.
The Safe is located at 160 Merrimack Street, in the heart of downtown Lowell and minutes away from the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s North Campus. Check out the Facebook event for more info, and as always check the calendar for upcoming shows.
