Well, it seems as if Big D and the Kids Table are trying to make their next Boston show as special as possible. As you probably already know, on May 31st the band will hit The Paradise Rock Club and play their classic album Good Luck in its entirety to celebrate it’s 15th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, the band printed a limited amount of “throwback” shirts that will be sold at this and the following show at Apple Stomp II in New York on June 1st. The two designs, featured up top, have that worn in look that matches the idea of the album’s anniversary.
As if that wasn’t enough, the band has revealed that they would be joined onstage by original Big D guitarist Sean P. Rogan, who left the band in 2009. This, added to the fact that vocalist Mark “The Skipper” Flynn will also be joining the band, will mean the performance will sound possibly as close to the original recording as it ever will again.
In following the age-old adage “make ’em cry, make ’em laugh, make ’em wait”, tickets to the show appear to be sold out on Ticketmaster. So if you happen to be one of the lucky ones who already got a ticket, prepare for a hell of a show! Opening up for Big D will be Stray Bullets, Salita, and relatively unknown avant-garde drone-jazz trio The Toasters. And then the wait is, obviously, the next week of not being at this awesome show.
